Establishing a Realistic Timeline

A great starting point is to write down all of the tasks that need to get done.  Identify for each task the estimated time it takes, general resources required and organize these in step one step two order.

It is also important to consider the type of outline you are setting – arbitrary (drawn out of hat based on best guess) or institutional (start end of a fiscal year, start of a semester, etc..

Knowing the type of deadline helps you work backwards so you know effects of missing a particular milestone on your ability to alter the timeline or put additional resources on a project.

Summary of activity in picture format is really powerful – bring this back to the group – AON Network and then convert it to a Summary of Activities Chart.
