Strands of Web 2.0 Meets the Silos of CMS

Sitting in the great Akron/Canton airport waiting for my flight to Denver I came across a post fromĀ  Infocult: Information, Culture, Policy, Education

as I head to the airport: bringing Web 2.0 to an LMS discussion reminds me a bit of introducing gaming to an educational technology conversation.

As of late I have been thinking of similar thoughts in particular…

When I met with some faculty bloggers they all agreed that webct does not meet their needs.

Pedablogy’s first seminar experiment on Globalization and the learning/engagement that happens there.

The great things that Steve Onyeiwu is doing with his economic classes supported by WebCT as a portal to content and interactions.

The times I have to say it is not really possible with WebCT compared to the times I say anything is possible with a little time and creativity.

There is a breaking point in tension of this LMS/Web 2.0 debate.

What is that point?
